Serving clients from our Escondido office, The Law Offices of Mark Deniz APLC handles criminal defense, DUI, prostitution and solicitation, and domestic violence cases, with additional support available through our main San Diego office and branches in Carlsbad, Chula Vista and the Pacific Heights Boulevard and Treena Street locations in San Diego.
Our practice is built on the foundation laid by founder Mark Deniz, whose legal career began on the other side of the courtroom. Admitted to The State Bar of California in 2003 after completing his legal education the prior year, he spent years as a prosecuting attorney, serving Tulare County from 2004 through 2009 before moving to the San Diego City Attorney's Office, where he prosecuted cases until 2013. He then redirected that experience toward defending the accused, founding our firm that same year.
Because we know firsthand how prosecutors construct their cases, we approach every file with a defense strategy informed by insider knowledge of law enforcement procedures and crime-lab practices. Rather than reacting to the state's timeline, we move immediately to examine the evidence, searching for inconsistencies and vulnerabilities we can leverage on our clients' behalf.
Mr. Deniz continues to sharpen his competence through ongoing education, having trained with the U.S. Department of Justice, the San Diego County District Attorney's Office and the California District Attorneys Association, while also studying at Harvard Law School and the National College for DUI Defense. He remains active in the legal community as an author and instructor, sharing his knowledge with fellow practitioners. His regular presence in San Diego County courthouses has earned him familiarity with local prosecutors and judges alike.
